Today was a difficult because I woke up really not feeling at all motivated to do a shoot, but regardless, I grabbed my camera and found an area of the house with soft natural lighting and a blank white wall, and settled for the kitchen.
I felt like this shoot only really had one strong outcome as most of the images I was able to capture were slightly out of focus as I used my 55-200mm lens (which unfortunately got broken in transit on the way home from Leeds during quarantine). However, I was able to find this image that was more in focus. I think a project I’ll have to look into more in the future is one where images are intentionally out of focus and explore the consequences of this lack of clarity.
I feel this final image for today is enough, as even just getting everything set up and ready for this shoot gave me enough of a push of motivation to create this post and continue working, so I’m happy to round off today with this piece. (Also peep the quarantine hair! It’s been fun to look back at the photos created over the last few weeks just to capture how different looks have occurred out of lack of access to care or even just pure boredom!)
